Luke Williams joined the Charleston Southern men's basketball staff in August of 2026 as a Graduate Assistant after spending the 2025-26 season as a student-athlete with the Buccaneers.
During his lone season at Charleston Southern, Williams made an immediate impact, appearing in 20 games with 18 starts. He averaged 10.6 points and a team-high 31.0 minutes per game while ranking second on the team with 88 assists and third in three-point percentage at 39.6 percent. Williams reached double figures in 12 contests, including a season-high 22 points against Toccoa Falls College. He also reached significant career milestones during his final season on the court, recording his 1,500th career point and 250th career assist.
Prior to joining the Buccaneers, Williams spent three seasons at Maryville University. During the 2024-25 season, he started 23 of 25 games and scored 385 points, averaging 15.4 points per game. He began his collegiate career at Southeast Community College, where he played two seasons. In 2022-23, he started all 28 games and ranked 49th nationally in junior college basketball with 18.3 points per game, totaling 512 points.
A native of Olathe, Kansas, Williams graduated from Olathe South High School in 2021. He graduated from Maryville University in 2025 where he majored in Communications.
