CHARLESTON – On Sunday afternoon, the Big South Conference announced its final Player of the Week award winner for the 2025–26 season: Charleston Southern's Jesse Hafemeister.
Over the weekly period, Hafemeister finished second in points per game (22.0), first in field goal percentage (67%), and first in three-point percentage (67%) among players with more than five attempts. On the boards, he finished in the league's top 20, averaging 5.5 per contest.
On Saturday, in a regular-season finale win at UNC Asheville, Hafemeister scored 28 points. Twenty-one of those 28 came from beyond the arc, as the graduate student knocked down 7 of his 10 three-point attempts. Those seven threes in a single game mark the third most by a Buccaneer this season and the 12th most in program history.
