CHARLESTON – Thursday evening, Charleston Southern hosted the Presbyterian College Blue Hose for a 7:00 PM tip-off. The Bucs would go on to break their eight-game losing streak, dominating the Hose 84-67.
CSU would start hot, achieving an eight point lead only four minutes into the contest (10-2). The Buccaneer lead would be stretched to double figures minutes courtesy of a Trent Coleman layup (19-9). Going into the halftime locker room, CSU would find themselves only up by three (40-37). Jesse Hafemeister, who scored 53 combined points last week, led CSU in scoring with 9 in Thursday's first-half.
Several Buccaneers contributed to the scoring column in the second-half, including A'lahn Sumler who converted two free-throws to secure CSU's largest lead of the ball game (82-63). The Bucs earned their third win of Big South Conference play and eighth win of the season at home, 84-67.
