Charleston Southern Softball Signs Power-Hitting Virginia Standout – Jenna Wilson

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Head Coach Christi Musser and the Charleston Southern Softball program are proud to welcome Jenna Wilson to the Buccaneer family as part of the 2026 recruiting class.

A native of Manassas, Virginia, Wilson joins the Bucs from Osbourn Park High School, where she has established herself as one of the top power hitters in the region. A versatile corner infielder who excels at both third base and first base, she also competes with VA Glory National Willemssen 18U, one of the premier travel organizations on the East Coast.

Wilson's list of athletic achievements is exceptional. She was named the 2025 District Player of the Year, earned 2025 First Team All-District and First Team All-Region, and was selected to the 2025 Second Team All-Met, recognizing the best athletes across Virginia, Delaware, and Maryland. She also set a new home run record at Osbourn Park High School with 11 home runs in a single season, and is a four-year varsity letterwinner.

Academically, Jenna is equally impressive, carrying a 4.0 unweighted GPA, earning an Academic Letter with three bars, and is on track to graduate Summa Cum Laude. She will begin her academic journey at CSU with her major currently undecided.

Beyond her accomplishments on the field and in the classroom, Jenna is dedicated to serving others. She volunteers with Open Arms, a special education ministry at Park Valley Church, supporting children and families within her community.

When asked why she chose Charleston Southern, Wilson shared,

"It's a Christian school that will help me grow in my relationship with God while getting an education. The small community-like feel of the school, the amazing coaches, and the girls on the team made CSU feel like home. Plus, Charleston is BEAUTIFUL!"

Head Coach Christi Musser expressed her excitement about Wilson's future impact on the program:

"Impact players, that is what coaches are looking for; and Jenna is that player! She has the experience and skill set to make a huge impact immediately to our line-up. She is going to bring a big bat with lots of power to our offensive line-up and a strong glove at the corner positions. Jenna is such a hard worker and loves the game of softball. Love that she is making her way south to the Lowcountry!"
