TYEREE LEADS THE WAY, PT. 3
SophomoreÂ
Tyeree Bryan had another efficient night on the offensive side of the floor for the Bucs, finishing the night 9-15 from the field to add to a strong 5-9 showing from downtown. Bryan has had a handful of impressive performances this season, this one in line with his last three appearances as he missed the Campbell contest.
Â
DOUBLE-DIGITS
The Bucs had three in double-figures, paced by Bryan's 23.
Taje' Kelly turned in an impressive line as well, finishing the contest with 13 points on 6-8 shooting from the field to add to his seven boards.
Claudell Harris Jr. stood as the other Buccaneer in double-figures with 10 points while also collecting three rebounds, three dimes and two steals.Â
Â
HUSTLE STATS
Charleston Southern found themselves on top of many different categories in the box tonight, outrebounding Winthrop 33-32, outscoring them points off turnovers (11-7) while also turning the ball over fewer times than the Eagles. Second chance points went the way of the Bucs as well, 14-8. The Charleston Southern bench outscored Winthrop's reserves 18-16 as well to round out the deep dive into the box.
Â
THE SECOND TIME AROUND
The Radford contest marks the seventh different opponent the Bucs have seen for the second time this season. Longwood stood as the first in repeat opponents, a contest that CSU was able to leave with a win, but the other six have not been as kind to the Buccaneers. Two of those situations saw the Bucs take the first meeting but fall in the return trip. Â
UP NEXT
The Bucs hit the road for its next affair as they make the return trip to Buies Creek to take on Big South foe Campbell. The action is slated for a 7:00 p.m. start inside Gore Arena.
