Men's Basketball Travels to The Sunshine State for First Installment of South Florida Series

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern men's basketball takes to the road for their next affair, as they head to Tampa, Florida to take on the University of South Florida for the first time in program history. The action is slated for a 7:00 p.m. tip at the Yuengling Center.

Opening Tip 
  • Charleston Southern saw its second-straight contest come down to the final possession last time on the floor, as CSU was unable to convert from downtown on the final possession with a chance to tie in a loss to The Citadel.
  • The trio of Claudell Harris Jr.Kalib Clinton and RJ Johnson each found double figures for Charleston Southern against The Citadel, led by Harris Jr.'s 19.
  • Clinton had his biggest showing of his sophomore campaign, netting 18 points on 6-10 shooting from the field while drawing nine fouls along the way.
  • USF will see its third and final leg of a three-game homestand when the Bucs come to town, as the Bulls opened the segment with a 75-60 win over St. Francis Brooklyn before a 73-67 loss to Umass four days later.
  • Tyler Harris leads the way in the scoring department for the Bulls, as the sharpshooter is averaging just under 15 points per game.
  • Russel Tchewa has started the season off well on the offensive side of the floor for USF as well, ranking in the top-5 in the American Athletic Conference in shooting percentage and sixth in total rebounds.
  • This will be the second time Charleston Southern will clash with a program for the first time this season, the first coming against Ohio State in the road opener for the Bucs.
