Opening Tip
  • Claudell Harris Jr. continues to find scoring opportunities in the young scoring, leading the CSU offense with 22 points in a win over Bethune-Cookman at home last time out. Harris Jr.'s scoring output stands as the third time in four games that he has eclipsed the 20-point clip.
  • Cheikh Faye turned-in his best performance of the season against Bethune-Cookman as well, chasing down 10 rebounds while knocking down multiple treys to pace a complete CSU effort.
  • CSU guard RJ Johnson impressed last time out as well, recording 15 points to add to six dimes in his best output in the blue and gold.

  • Virginia Tech's lone loss on the year came in the title game of the Charleston Classic, as a last-second layup proved to be the difference.
  • The Hokies are led by Sean Pedulla, as the shooter comes into the clash averaging 17.5 points per game to go along with just under five dimes per game.
  • This will be the 7th meeting between the two programs, as Virginia Tech has taken each of the six previous meetings. Five of the six affairs have come from The Cassell, as the lone matchup in Charleston came back in December of 2008.
  • CSU Head Coach Barclay Radebaugh and Virginia Tech Head Coach Mike Young have met two previous times, both with Young being at Wofford, each laying claim to a win in the series.
