Opening Tip
• Charleston Southern looks to make it two straight against the Panthers, as that would be the second time in the last three season that the Bucs took two in a row from High Point.
•
Claudell Harris Jr. continues to play at a high level. The freshman guard went from 18 points and seven boards against Big South favorite Winthrop in his first career start last time out.
• The two sides split the series a season ago, with High Point winning the first of the back-to-back contests in the special conference format and CSU earning the split with a last-second shot in the second contest. Each one of the tilts were played at the Qubein Center in High Point, North Carolina.
• The Bucs chased down 21 offensive boards against Winthrop, while also collecting 19 points off turnovers, compared to Winthrop's eight points off turnovers.
•
Deontaye Buskey joined
Claudell Harris Jr. in terms of productivity last time out, as the senior wing went for 14 points and three assists.
Sadarius Bowser had his highest scoring output on the season as well. The senior big finished with eight ponits and six boards.
• The Bucs will look to have a full healty roster again for the first time in their six-game losing streak, with senior
Sean Price missing time due to injury. Price has started all nine games he has appeared in on the year.
• High Point is coming off its first Big South win of the year as the Panthers hung on to beat NC A&T last time out. NC A&T made a run late to cut it to just a possession with less than a minute remaining, but High Point closed the game on a 6-1 run to close it out.
