Camels sweep Saturday twin bill over Bucs

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell's offense put up 16 runs Saturday afternoon, powering the Camels to a doubleheader sweep over visiting Charleston Southern at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium.

The Camels took the first game in five innings, 10-1, and won the second game by a 6-1 scoreline.

Brooklynn Brewington had a pair of hits in the first game for the Bucs, while Dominique Mannerino was 2-for-2 with a double, a walk and a run scored in the second game. Katelyn Norris scored the lone run in the first game for CSU.

Charleston Southern took an early lead in the first game when Norris scored on a four-base error off a bunt, but it was all Campbell from there. The Camels put up two spots in the first and second innings and added another in the fourth before a five-run fifth inning ended the game via the run rule. Bri Bryant was 3-for-3 with three homers and six RBI's for Campbell.
