BUIES CREEK, N.C. –
Holly Clark threw her third complete game of the season Sunday afternoon, but Campbell squeaked past the visiting Bucs in a pitchers' duel, 2-1, at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium.
Clark allowed four hits and struck out four.
SeaEnna Satcher and
Dominique Mannerino had two hits apiece, with the latter of the two providing the lone RBI for the Bucs.
The Bucs took the lead in the third inning when Mannerino hit an RBI single into shallow right field, scoring
Ashley Meckley in the process. The Camels tied the game in the bottom of the third on a sacrifice fly and took the lead for good in the fourth on a bases-loaded walk.
Clark retired nine straight batters after the bases-loaded walk to keep the Bucs' chances alive. CSU had multiple opportunities to add to its run total throughout the game, but the Bucs stranded 10 runners in the game and left the bases loaded twice.

- The Bucs opened the scoring in the third inning on a Dominique Mannerino RBI single to right, scoring Ashley Meckley.
- Campbell tied the game in the bottom of the third on a Delaney McDilda sacrifice fly.
- The Camels scored the go-ahead run in the fourth on a bases-loaded walk.

- Mannerino has back-to-back two-hit games for the first time this season and has three multi-hit games in 2021.
- Mannerino had four hits in the series and has seven hits in her last seven games.
- Clark's complete game was her second against Big South competition after previously going the distance against Gardner-Webb on April 10.
- Brooklynn Brewington extended her hit streak to five games with a single to lead off the game.
- After stealing a base in 13 of the first 15 Big South games this season, the Bucs did not have a stolen base attempt over the weekend.
- CSU left 10 runners on base Sunday and stranded 20 runners on the basepaths in the three-game series.
- Alyssa Heinrich pinch ran in the seventh inning for the Bucs, marking the first time this season she appeared in a game she did not pitch.
- Clark limited the Camels to an 0-for-6 mark with two outs and a 1-for-10 showing with runners on base.
