Kendall McGruder

Kendall McGruder joined the Charleston Southern women’s basketball program in July of 2025 after a successful collegiate career at Fairfield University and the University of North Texas.

McGruder played two seasons at Fairfield, making 32 appearances with eight starts as a senior in 2024-25. She averaged 5.0 points per game, scored in double figures five times, and posted a season-high 14 points in a win over Villanova. As a junior, she started 16 games, connected on 58 three-pointers, and ranked second on the team with a .369 shooting percentage from beyond the arc.

Before transferring to Fairfield, McGruder competed for two seasons at North Texas, where she appeared in 50 career games with 20 starts. She finished second on the team in assists as a sophomore, ranked in the 91st percentile nationally in assist rate, and posted a career-high 29 points in a win over Florida Atlantic.

A native of Grand Prairie, Texas, McGruder is the daughter of Mariaha and Curtis and majored in Sociology.
