Daniela Contreras joined Charleston Southern in August of 2026 as the Graduate Assistant for External Operations. In her role, she assists in the Buccaneers' marketing, Buc Club and fan experience.
She joins the Athletic Department after spending the past year as an insurance agent for INS Exclusive. During her undergraduate career, she completed an internship during the spring of 2024 with the Charleston Battery with their Corporate Sponsorship team. This included experience in management, outreach, activation and fulfillment of their contractual obligations.
Contreras graduated from Charleston Southern University with her bachelor's of science in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship in December of 2024 and graduated with Cum Laude honors. During her undergraduate career, she was a member of the Buccaneers' women's soccer program. She is originally from Costa Rica where she played for the country's U20 and U17 Women's National Team. She went on to play professionally with Dimas Escazu (Februrary 2025 - July 2026) and the South Carolina United Lady Bantams Soccer Club (May 2024 - July 2024).
