Lauren Bevis was named the women's basketball team's Director of Basketball Operations on August 1, 2024. She joins Charleston Southern after an outstanding career in Big South at both Gardner-Webb and High Point.
Bevis brings a winning attitude, as she finished her four-year career at Gardner-Webb with a 74-44 record, two Big South titles, an undefeated conference season and a trip to the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament in 2022-23. In her lone season at High Point in 2023-24, Bevis was named Big South Player of the Year and led the Panthers to a Big South regular season championship.
Bevis is a native of Spartanburg, S.C. and is one of three members in her family to compete in athletics at Gardner-Webb, as both her grandfather, Maurice Bevis, and her father, Shep Bevis, played football for the Runnin' Bulldogs.
