Previous College: Bretches, a junior transfer, came to the Bucs by way of Arizona Western College where she lined up as a guard under Coach Patrick Cunningham. Over the 2015-16 season with the Matadors, Bretches started 25 of the 29 games at the guard position. She averaged 11.4 points, 2.2 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game, connecting on 34.4% of her three-point attempts. Among her accolades at AWC includes earning ACCAC WBB D1 Player of the Week honors this past December.

Prior to her time at AWC, Bretches lined up at Cloud County Community College, averaging 9.4 points and 3.2 assists per game. In high school, she lined up for DeRidder high school where she averaged 16.0 points, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game for a team that advanced to the 4A Louisiana State semifinals in  2014. She earned All-State, All-District and All-Southwest Louisiana honors at DeRidder.
