Cameron Ward joined Charleston Southern in January of 2024 as the department's Director of Equipment Operations. In his role, he will oversee ordering, inventory, distribution, and maintenance of all Charleston Southern athletics equipment and apparel.
Ward arrives at CSU after spending August 2022-December 2023 at North Greenville University, his alma mater as the Coordinator for Fitness & Recreation. In this role, he oversaw and coordinated all intramural sports for the school and was a key staff member for the Younts Fitness Center.
He has been involved in many different areas since his graduation from NGU in 2018. Some of these stops have included a two-year stint at Mercy Holdings LLC as a warehouse and logistics coordinator as well as the United FC Soccer Coach for over two years. While he worked as a coach of the team, he also was a teacher for mathematics at Legacy Early College in 2019-2020 and was a lead trainer at Pivotal Performance from 2018-2019.
Ward graduated from North Greenville University with his bachelor's of science in health sciences in 2018 after being a four-year member of the school's soccer program. During his time there, he was contacted by the US Men's National Team and offered a tryout on the 2017 Gold Cup Roster that later won the event for the sixth time in national team history. He was an honors student every semester and served as a FCA captain from 2016-2018. He is originally from Greenville, S.C. graduating from Wade Hampton High School in 2015.
