2015

• Big South First Team All-Conference selection 
• Named the Big South Conference Freshman of the Year after helping anchor a CSU defense that was one of the nation’s best
• Was one of 20 finalists for STATS National FCS Freshman of the Year Award
• Earned Big South Freshman of the Week honors three times – following wins over North Greenville (9/3), Monmouth (10/10) and Gardner-Webb (10/24)
• Tied for second in the Big South with seven sacks, and was sixth with 12.5 tackles for loss
• Started all 13 games and was second on the team with 69 tackles; also recorded seven sacks, 12.5 TFL, an interception, a touchdown, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries
• Had a big collegiate debut against North Greenville (9/3), finishing with seven tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble
• Notched five tackles and a fumble recovery in win at The Citadel (9/26)
• Had seven tackles in three straight weeks (10/10-10/24) as CSU became the first team in Big South history to hold 3 straight league opponents to less than 200 yards total offense
• Helped CSU to a defensive slugfest victory at Presbyterian (10/17), notching seven stops, a sack and two tackles for loss
• Against Gardner-Webb (10/24), had a seven tackles, 0.5 TFL and returned an interceptions 28 yards for a touchdown for the final points of the Bucs’ shutout win
• Had a sack and four tackles in the win over top-ranked Coastal Carolina (10/31)
• Delivered in a big way in the FCS Playoff 2^nd Round win over The Citadel (12/5), posting 15 tackles, a sack, 1.5 TFL, and a crucial strip sack that led to a touchdown

2014: Redshirted the season.

High School: A two-time All-Region selection at D.W. Daniel High School in Clemson, S.C…Helped his team to the Upper State Championship and AAA State Championship game…Recorded 130 tackles as a senior…High school teammate of fellow-signee Tyrell Fleming…Was a three-sport athlete in high school, helping Daniel to a runner-up finish in the upstate…Also excelled in track by running a 14.05 in the 110-meter hurdles…Ray, his father, played college football at Clemson from 1979-1983.
