Scott Jackson joined the Charleston Southern Strength & Conditioning Staff in the summer of 2020. He will work primarily with the Buccaneer baseball, women’s soccer, women’s golf, cross country, and cheer programs.
Jackson joins the Bucs by way of Coastal Carolina University where he served as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach from May-December 2019 working primarily with the Chanticleer football, dance, and cheer teams. Among his responsibilities included assisting with the coordination and execution of lifting sessions, while also helping coaches create workout regimens for athletes to cater to their individual needs.
Prior to his time at CCU, Jackson served as an Intern/Volunteer at the University of South Carolina during the 2018-19 athletic season working with the Olympic sports programs. He helped schedule weekly lift times for multiple teams at the Gamecocks’ soccer complex, while also assisting the strength and conditioning staff with lift sessions, practices, and conditioning progressions.
Jackson went to the Gamecocks following Intern/Volunteer stints at both Greenwood High School and Wellness Works where he observed and implemented workout sessions for athletes and promoted the use of correct lifting form and technique.
Jackson graduated with a degree in Exercise Science from Lander University in May 2018.
