2014: Returned from two years worth of injuries and re-emerged as one of CSU''s go-to targets....Led the team with 28 catches and 398 yards receiving, averaging 14.2 yards per catch...Scored a pair of touchdowns...Recorded eight catches of 20 or more yards...Hauled in 36 and 39-yard receptions in the win over Newberry (9/6)...Had a big game in the 47-41 overtime win at Charlotte (9/27), making six catches for 64 yards, with a long of 23...Scored a fourth quarter TD against Charlotte on 3rd-and-goal that gave CSU the lead...Had another big day the following game at Vanderbilt (10/11), making four catches for 47 yards, with a long of 25...Had a 23-yard reception against Presbyterian (10/18), and a 21-yard catch against Coastal Caolina (10/25)...Scored a 32-yard TD in the rout of Gardner-Webb (11/8)...Made big plays in CSU''s second-ever win at Liberty, tallying four catches for 62 yards...Made an excellent 40-yard grab against Liberty to spark a scoring drive.
2013: Redshirted the season due to injury.
2012: Was limited to three games due to injury, but still recorded 11 catches for 149 yards and a touchdown...Most of that damage came against Jacksonville (9/8), as Perera caught 10 passes for 134 yards and a touchdown...Hauled in a 72-yard pass in the 3rd quarter versus Jacksonville, a play which was the Bucs'' longest of the year...Caught one pass for 15 yards versus Illinois (9/15).
2011: Earned a spot on the Big South All-Conference First Team Offense…finished 2nd in the Big South with 94.4 yards receiving per game in conference games, as well as 2nd with 5.33 receptions per contest…hauled in 43 catches for 709 yards (16.5 ypc) overall, including four touchdowns…made two catches for 24 yards, with a long of 19, in season-opener at Central Florida on Sept. 3…secured five catches for 75 yards, with a long of 25, on Oct. 1 vs. Wesley…made three catches for 60 yards, with a long of 28, as CSU challenged VMI to the wire on Oct. 15…recorded first career 100-yard receiving game on Oct. 22 versus Liberty, nabbing seven balls for 100 yards, with a long of 36, and a 5-yard touchdown reception late in the 4th quarter…was at it again versus Gardner-Webb on Oct. 29, catching five passes for 78 yards with a long of 33…enjoyed a career day versus Stony Brook on Nov. 5, making ten grabs for 232 yards (nine off school single-game record) and two touchdowns, with a long of 56…his 44-yard touchdown against the Seawolves came early in the fourth quarter on a screen pass and sliced CSU’s deficit to 43-31…was major factor as Richard Mounce threw for 397 yards versus rival Coastal Carolina on Nov. 12, bringing in six catches for 93 yards, including a 34-yard third quarter touchdown which tied the game at 24 apiece.
2010: Played in six games including the final five games of the year … had one reception against Hawaii and also made a special teams tackle against the Warriors.
High School: Had more than 900 yards and 10 touchdowns in his senior season for Coach Matt Hedrick ... named the most valuable wide receiver in 2008 and 2009 and was the Orlando Touchdown Club’s Offensive Player of the Week ... selected to play in the Central Florida All-Star Game and was ranked the 60th-best prospect in the central Florida top-100 ... also a four-year varsity letterman on the baseball and basketball teams.
