John Concludes Historic Season at Winston-Salem Regional

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Charleston Southern senior golfer Dewi John concluded his historic 2025-26 campaign this week at the Winston-Salem Regional.

The regional took place at Bermuda Run Country Club from May 18-20. The par 71 course played 7,013 yards.

John played consistent across all three rounds, putting up scores of 73, 73, and 72 to finish 5-over par and tie for 52nd.

John started round one hot, knocking down birdies on the first two holes to begin the day. Three bogeys over the next five holes brought him to 1-over par at the turn. John picked up one birdie and two bogeys on the back nine to finish 2-over par after round one.

Day two saw more of the same as John shot 1-over par on both the front and back nine. He shot another 73 to bring his total to 4-over par.

John saved his best performance for last, shooting a 72 in round three. The front nine was up and down with a bogey, birdie, and triple bogey, but John dialed it in and shot a bogey-free 33 on the back nine to wrap up the regional.

John earned a spot in the NCAA Regionals as an individual following his dominating win at the Big South Championships at the end of April. His victory at Fripp Island marked CSU's first Individual Medalist since 2016 and fifth ever in program history.
