MORGANTON, N.C. – The Charleston Southern women's golf team competed at the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate this week, finishing sixth in the 12-team field with a three-round total of 933 (69-over par). The tournament was hosted by Appalachian State and played at Mimosa Hills Golf Club, a par-72 course measuring 6,130 yards.
Eugenie Varet led the Buccaneers tying for third overall, carding rounds of 74, 76, and 73 to finish at 223 (7-over par). Varet's consistent play across all three rounds positioned her among the top finishers in the field and marked her fifth top-three finish of the 2025-26 season.
Katie Stephens followed with an 18th-place finish, posting rounds of 81, 74, and 76 to total 231 (15-over par). Stephens rebounded from her opening round with a strong 74 in the second round to climb the leaderboard.
Summer Griffiths added a top-25 finish, tying for 23rd overall after rounds of 79, 78, and 78 to finish at 235 (19-over par). This was Griffiths' third top-25 finish of the year.
Chayse Cool finished 46th with rounds of 82, 80, and 82 (28-over par), while IY Ibnu tied for 55th after posting rounds of 86, 85, and 82 (37-over par) to round out the Buccaneers' lineup.
As a team, Charleston Southern opened the tournament with a 316 before improving to 308 in the second round and closing with a 309 to secure a sixth-place finish at the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate.
