JACKSONVILLE, FLA – The Women's Track and Field NCAA First Round was completed on Thursday with the Buccaneers'
Grenisha Thomas going through to the quarterfinal round at the meet in the 400m hurdles.
Thomas competed in the sixth and final heat of the first round in the event. She ran a career best time of 57.98 to take third in her heat and getting her time to move her up to fourth in Big South history for the event. She claimed the final big Q from the heat and had her time rank as the 20
th fastest in the field.
Austyn Koppe ran a time of 13.87 (+1.8) in the 100m hurdles. She claimed 45
th in the meet among the nation's best runners in the event and raced in the fourth heat.
Thomas' quarterfinal for the 400m hurdles is scheduled for Saturday at 7:25 p.m. She is slated to be in the first heat and will run in lane nine for it. The event will be streamed live on ESPN+ with live results available online at flashresults.com.
