Women's Tennis Moves to 3-0 in Conference Play Following Sweep at Radford

RADFORD, VA – Charleston Southern continued their hot stretch on Sunday afternoon, defeating Radford by a 4-0 scoreline. This win moves the Buccaneers to 3-0 in conference play and gives them their ninth consecutive match victory.
 
The day began with tightly contested doubles matches and Charleston Southern prevailing in two of the matches to get the point. The first to conclude went in favor of the Bucs with Kassandra Di Staulo and Marina Skegro winning 6-2 on the #2 court. The Highlanders won 6-4 at #3, but Noa Boyd and Amila Jusufbegovic won 6-4 in the topflight to secure the first point.
 
In singles, it was all Bucs as well, with a trio of quick straight set matches ended the day. Carlé Botha had the first result, winning 6-2, 6-0 on the #6 court and was soon followed by Brenda Yoris claiming it at 6-1, 6-1 at #4. Di Staulo clinched the victory with her 6-3, 6-1 victory on the #5 court.
 
The other three matches went unfinished. Boyd won the first set 7-5 at #2 while Skegro at #1 and Jusufbegovic at #3 each dropped the first sets in their matches.
 
Charleston Southern has their next match on Friday, April 4 with a trip to UNC Asheville on deck. The first serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. between the two teams that each hold an unblemished record of 3-0 against Big South opponents thus far.
