CHARLOTTE – Charleston Southern collected their second victory of the spring season at Queens on Monday morning. The Royals only fielded four student-athletes in their lineup making for a quick match for the Buccaneers.

Jaden Davidson claimed the doubles point for Charleston Southern with a 6-0 victory on the #2 court. Since the Royals did not field a doubles pairing on court #3 meaning the Bucs only needed a single decision to go their way in the other two matches. The topflight ended with the Bucs'
Noa Boyd and
Amila Jusufbegovic leading 5-0.
In singles, Queens did not place players on courts #5 and #6, surrendering a pair of points to the Buccaneers, giving them a 3-0 lead, only needing one more point to win the match. Botha provided the necessary point with a 6-2, 6-2 straight set victory on court #3. The other matches went unfinished with the Bucs'
Kassandra Di Staulo and Davidson leading theirs.
The Buccaneers return to action this weekend for a pair of matches. They open the weekend by facing South Carolina State on Saturday at noon and follow it with a contest against Lees-McRae at 1:00 p.m. the following day.
