Charleston Southern Softball Adds Mya Stevenson to Coaching Staff

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Head Coach Christi Musser and the Charleston Southern softball program announced the hiring of a new assistant coach on Wednesday, as they welcome Mya Stevenson as the final member of the coaching staff for the 2025 season. Stevenson comes to Charleston Southern after spending the 2024 season at Abilene Christian as a graduate assistant.

Prior to her time at Abilene Christian, Stevenson had a marvelous career at both Marshall University and The University of Mississippi, finishing her collegiate career in 2023 as the NCAA's active career home run leader with 71.

Stevenson spent her first four seasons at Marshall, where she was a three-time All-Conference selection and a Third-Team NFCA All-American in 2022 before transferring to Ole Miss for her final year of eligibility in 2023. She hit 12 home runs for the Rebels and helped guide them to an NCAA Regional appearance.

Stevenson is a native of Mesquite, Texas and graduated from Marshall with a degree in Journalism.
