CHARLESTON – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the All-Academic teams and All-Academic athletes for the 2024 track and field season on Monday afternoon. Each of the Buccaneer programs earned All-Academic distinction and
Chloe Greene was selected as an All-Academic athlete.
The Buccaneers men's team concluded the year with a 3.14 GPA while the women had a 3.36 GPA. This marks back-to-back years for the squads to receive this award. Greene holds a GPA of 3.77 as she is pursuing a degree in kinesiology with a clinical emphasis. She advanced to the NCAA Regionals in the javelin, earned Most Valuable Athlete at the indoor and outdoor conference championships meets and was named the Big South Field Athlete of the Year.
In order to qualify, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, while student-athletes must hold a GPA of at least 3.25 and finish inside the top 96 in any championship individual event, indoors and outdoors combined.
