CHARLESTON – Charleston Southern Women's Tennis announced the addition of transfer Emmie Moore from Brigham Young University (BYU) on Friday morning. Moore is joining the Buccaneers with two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Moore (Salt Lake City, Utah) has spent the past two years with the Cougars after being one of the top ranked high school players in the country.
During her freshman year, she won each of the first nine singles matches to begin her career. She finished the year with a 14-5 record in singles, mostly playing on courts #5 and #6. In doubles, she held a mark of 5-5, primarily on court #2.
In high school, she graduated as a four-star recruit and as the #85 ranked player in the country. She was the top player in the state of Utah as well as the #1 from the Mountain region. She had a decorated prep career as she won national silver and bronze balls along with a 4
th-place finish at the Easter Bowl. She was invited to play for Team USA for Canada and was ranked as the top player in the Intermountain region in 12s, 14s, 16s, and 18s.
Moore is expected to be a key addition to the lineup as the Buccaneers are looking to replace three players who exhausted their eligibility this spring.
