COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Charleston Southern softball game against the South Carolina scheduled for Tuesday, April 23 has been canceled and will not be made up.
The game began as the second game of a doubleheader back on March 27 in Columbia but was postponed due to heavy rain. The Gamecocks were up 1-0 in the top of the second, but the Buccaneers had runners at second and third with one out before the game was halted.
Charleston Southern currently sits at No. 3 in the Big South standings and are just 0.5 games behind Longwood for the No. 2 spot. The Lancers will be in town this weekend for the final home series of the season. Saturday will be a doubleheader beginning at 3 PM, while Sunday's action will begin at 1:05 PM. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
