BOSTON – Charleston Southern Men's Track and Field began their 2025 indoor season on Saturday afternoon. The Bucs had a pair of their distance athletes compete in the Sharon Colyear Season Opener hosted by Boston University.
Getting the day started was graduate student
Jaden Kingsley. This was his first action in a Charleston Southern uniform since the 2024 Big South Indoor Championships. He competed in the mile and ran a time of 4:13.06 in the third heat of the event.
The other Buccaneer to see action on the day was
Micah Gilpatric who raced in the 3K. This marked his first action in a Charleston Southern uniform since the 2023 Big South Championship, redshirting each of the seasons since. He raced in the 3K at the meet with a time of 7:55.64. The time is just seconds off his personal best in the event, which stands as the current school record. That time is 7:52.96 which ranks as the 4th best in conference history.
This was the team's lone meet prior to Christmas Break and exam week for the Bucs. They will have their next action on Saturday, January 11 at the Gamecock Opener hosted by South Carolina.
