Box Score BATON ROUGE, LA – The Charleston Southern women's basketball team traveled to Baton Rouge, LA this week, as they were defeated by the No. 7 LSU Tigers inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Wednesday by a 117-44 score.
The Buccaneers (0-4) won the opening tip and jumped out to a 5-0 lead thanks to two-straight baskets from
Catherine Alben, who finished with 15 points in 29 minutes and was Charleston Southern's leading scorer. After falling behind, the Tigers (3-0) closed the opening quarter on a 24-4 run.
LSU closed out the first half on an 11-0 run and took a 34-point lead into the locker room. They outscored Charleston Southern 30-6 in the third quarter. The Tigers were aggressive inside, finishing with 66 total rebounds and 56 points in the paint. Charleston Southern shot 24% from field and finished with four shots made from beyond the arc.

Alba Garcia was the second-leading scorer, finishing with eight points in 10 minutes.
Madison Adamson had six points and four rebounds in 30 minutes of play.
