Sarah McCartney and
Jewel Ash etched their names in the CSU Record Books over the weekend as the two broke school records at the Tennessee Relays.
Sprints/Hurdles
Jewel Ash broke her own school record in the 400m hurdles with a new personal best (and school best) time of 57.73 on her way to finishing first overall at the meet.
Brenda du Toit finished fourth overall with her new personal best time of 62.40.
Austyn Koppe finished second overall in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.05, but that wasn't even her fastest time of the day. Koppe ran a 13.98 in the preliminary, her new personal best and the fourth-best in school history.Â
Combined
Chloe Greene continued her domination of the combined events. She won the heptathlon with 4806 points and ran personal bests in the 100m hurdles (14.56) and 200m (25.78).
Throws
Zemaya Carson led a trio of Bucs in the shot put with her best mark of 13.46m, good for fourth place in the event.
Layla Senter (12.92m) and
Brooke Mader (10.83m) also threw for the Bucs this weekend.
Distance
Sarah McCartney owns another school record after running the first sub-17min 5K in school history. McCartney crossed the line at 16:55.75 and took second overall.
Zanelle Willemse improved her 5K best to 17:34.13 and now ranks fourth all-time in school history.
Anne Akagi took on the 3K steeplechase and turned in a sixth-place finish with a time of 11:30.02.

The Bucs will be back in action next weekend at the High Point Meet of Champions, a one-day meet on Saturday, April 15.
