Bucs Secure Third-Straight Sweep

Box Score FARMVILLE, VA - The Charleston Southern tennis team made it 11 wins in a row on Monday, cruising to a 5-0 win over the Longwood Lancers. This was the third-straight sweep for the Bucs (12-5, 4-0 in conference). 

It all started in the doubles round, where the Bucs took two with the third set going unfinished. Noa Boyd/Amila Jusufbegovic and Luiza Fullana/Khyanna Singh both won in 6-3 fashion. Tiffany Pyritz and Zoe Cauthen were ahead in their match 5-4, but they did not finish. 

In the singles round, it was all Bucs, as they won four of the sets, three of which were sweeps, and two were unfinished. Kassandra Di Staulo was the first to finish. She continue her undefeated season (12-0) with a 6-3 and 6-0 victory. 

Fullana followed that up with a dominating 6-2 and 6-3 win. This was her eighth win in a row. After that, Marina Skegro made it six wins in a row for her with a 7-6(6) and 6-3 set. Finally, Jusufbegovic continued her success with a win in three sets. She won the first one 7-5, lost in round two 6-1 and dominated 6-1 in the final set. 

The Bucs have three more matches before the conference tournaments in Charlotte. Their final home match will be this Friday at 1 p.m. as they host Campbell. The seniors will be honored before the match.
