Bucs Escape with 4-3 Win

Box Score CHARLESTON, S.C. -  The Charleston Southern women's tennis team defeated South Carolina Bulldogs by a 4-3 score on Tuesday, snapping a two-game losing streak. 

The Bucs (3-5) were behind early, as they were defeated in the doubles round. They lost the first two sets by a 7-6 score and 6-3. They were ahead 6-5 in the third group, but they did not finish. 

The singles round went in favor of the Bucs, as they were able to get a victory starting with Kassandra Di Staulo, who moved up in the competion. She swept her competitor with a 7-6 and 6-3 score. 

Noa Boyd also swept her match, as she pitched a shutout in the first half with a 6-0 win and won the second set 6-3. Amila Jusufbegovic  clinched the match, winning in three sets. She won the first one 6-4, lost the second one 7-6 and won the third one 6-3. 

Next Up
The Bucs will be back at home this weekend, as they have back-to-back home matches, starting against Gardner-Webb this Saturday and East Carolina on Sunday. Both matches start at 1 p.m.
