After a perfect 2-0 weekend in the state of Virginia, Charleston Southern women's tennis returns home for a Senior Day match Tuesday against in-state rival Presbyterian in what could decide the Big South regular season title.

Slated for a 1 p.m. start, Charleston Southern will recognize three seniors – Tyler Kirk, Michelle Schmitz and Madalina Man – in their final home contest as Buccaneers after four years of donning the Charleston Southern blue and gold.

Tuesday also is a de facto Big South regular season championship match as both heavyweights enter with a perfect 4-0 record on the season and both having locked-up the Big South's top-two seeds in the tournament next weekend in Charlotte. Both CSU and Presbyterian have won back-to-back matches entering Tuesday's highly-anticipated affair with the Blue Hose taking down Radford and UNC Asheville and the Bucs defeating Longwood and Radford over the weekend.

Zoe Cauthen has won her last five decisions for the Bucs and moved to 2-1 in Big South matches in that span while Tiffany Pyritz and Michelle Schmitz won both of their singles matches improving to 3-1 in league play.

Luiza Fullan and Michelle Schmitz lead the Bucs with a 3-0 doubles record while Zoe Cauthen and Tiffany Pyritz and the tandem of Madalina Man and Khyanna Singh each enter Tuesday with 2-1 records. CSU has won three of their four doubles points in league play – good for 7-2 between the three flights.

Presbyterian has a trio of 4-0 athletes in singles play led by Beth Lacey, Jessica Leeman ad Lucianna Piedra while Zeba Jamal holds a 3-1 mark. The Blue Hose have only played one match over the last 13 days taking down UNC Asheville by a 6-1 score in Clinton last Thursday afternoon.

Charleston Southern owns the all-time series 11-5 but Presbyterian has taken the last two decisions with their last meeting coming during the 2019 spring season. Madalina Man picked up a singles win but the Blue Hose took a 5-2 decision.

Tuesday's action begins at 1 p.m. from the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center. A Charleston Southern win would lock up the No. 1 seed in the 2021 Hercules Tires Big South Women's Tennis Championships April 17 and 18 as well as clinch at least a share of the regular season title for the fifth time in program history and first since the 2017 season and first outright title since the 2014 season.
