Bucs sweep away Lancers, remain perfect in Big South play

FARMVILLE, Va. - Charleston Southern tennis made quick work Friday afternoon as they defeated Longwood by a 4-0 score in Big South action to remain unbeaten and in the chase for a regular season title.

Charleston Southern (5-7, 3-0 Big South) got off to a quick start taking the doubles point with a pair of 6-0 wins on courts two and three then kept their foot on the gas for a trio of singles wins in straight sets to down the Lancers (3-10, 0-5 Big South).

Madalina Man, Michelle Schmitz and Tiffany Pyritz took that doubles momentum and took straight-set wins on courts one, five and six with Man collecting her third Big South singles win and Schmitz and Pyritz both moving to 2-1 on the season.

Charleston Southern moves to 8-0 all-time against the Lancers since they joined the Big South Conference including a 5-0 mark in Farmville.
