CHARLESTON, S.C. – Despite falling down 3-2 and the first set on courts one and three, Charleston Southern women's tennis never stop fighting Sunday.
Madalina Man and
Khyanna Singh came roaring back from 1-0 deficits to give the Buccaneers (3-3) a huge comeback victory over Stetson (2-4) Sunday afternoon for a perfect 2-0 homestand over the weekend.
Man and Singh's wins at flights one and three, coupled with
Luiza Fullana's dominant 6-0, 6-4 win at court two gave the Bucs the split they needed after taking another doubles point. Fullana's win Sunday made it three-straight wins for the sophomore moving to 3-1 on the season.
Tiffany Pyritz and
Zoe Cauthen got the doubles action started with a 6-4 decision on the second flight before Man and Singh clinched a 1-0 lead by a 7-5 score at the first court.
Stetson would take three of the first four singles matches for a 3-2 lead, but Man and Singh proved to be up to the task once again. The three-set gut-check win from Singh moved her to 4-1 as a Buc with three of those wins coming in walkoff fashion.
