Charleston Southern tennis gets back on the courts Saturday and Sunday as they open Big South play and host a pair of foes from the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center.

Gardner-Webb opens Big South play for the Bucs Saturday at 1 p.m. followed by a Sunday nonconference meeting with Stetson from the ASUN Conference, also a 1 p.m. start time.

Charleston Southern opens their 2021 Big South slate Saturday after a 1-0 start last season before a Covid shutdown of spring sports. Saturday sees the Bucs host Gardner-Webb, a Big South foe Charleston Southern has dominated with a 13-1 record all-time including a nine-match win streak. Charleston Southern is a perfect 7-0 at home against the Runnin' Bulldogs and have won all 11 regular season conference matches.

Charleston Southern and Stetson have met only three times before in tennis with the Hatters holding a 2-1 advantage. Sunday marks the first time Stetson makes the trip north from DeLand, Fla. with two of the matches occurring on the Hatters' campus.

Both matches are slated for 1 p.m. starts from the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center.
