CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern men's and women's track & field head north to Conway for their first full outdoor meet of the season taking part in the two-day Alan Connie Shamrock Invite hosted by Coastal Carolina.
Both the men's and women's programs had strong showings throughout the indoor season setting multiple individual records at the Bob Pollock Invitational, Brandt Tolsma Invitational and USC Open. Those, along with top-three showings at the 2019 Big South Outdoor Championships earned the Bucs a par of Preseason No. 3 predictions for both the men's and women's squads.
A total of 10 student-athletes made the trip to Central, S.C. for a one-day meet to open March as

Ryan Spiecha,
Kaleb Valliere,
Michael Calhoun and
Holden Gerth competed for the men while
Amy Yarborough,
Emily Danielsson,
Layla Senter,
Kaitlyn Migneault and
Sarah Fleming competed for the women.
Friday and Saturday's meet is the first of six outdoor meets in the regular season for Charleston Southern, a schedule that sees the Bucs make stops at Coastal Carolina, South Carolina, High Point, North Carolina A&T, Georgia Tech and North Florida.
The 2021 Outdoor Track & Field Big South Championships take place May 11 and 12 at High Point before NCAA First Round action takes place Memorial Day weekend in Jacksonville, Fla.
