Palm delivers strong effort at Wake Forest Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Charleston Southern junior Hannah Palm put forth a strong effort to lead the Bucs in an extremely strong field at Friday's Wake Forest Invitational.

Palm crossed the finish line of the 6k course in 24:25.47 to finish in 102nd place. Right behind for the Bucs and assistant coach for distance and jumps Sirena Williams was senior Jessie Dotson. Dotson finished in 24:29.47 in her last tune-up for her final Big South Conference Championship.

Richmond topped the 17-team field with 53 points, while Ellie Abrahamson of Wake Forest took the individual title.

Freshmen Traci Dratyon, Malaysia Reed and Emma Price also competed for CSU. Drayton was the best of the trio, finishing in 30:03.69.

CSU caps its season on October 31 at the Big South Conference Championship, hosted by Presbyterian College in Greenville, S.C.
