CENTRAL, S.C. - After an impressive 9-5 win over Cincinnati on
Saturday night, the CSU baseball team concluded their weekend at
the First Pitch Invitational in Clemson, S.C, by attending a
worship service at the Central First Baptist in Central, S.C.
Pastor Tony Qualkinbush, the father of Ben Qualkinbush, and the
congregation welcomed the coaches and players for Sunday morning
services followed by lunch in the Fellowship hall.
Pastor Qualkinbush's message in the service was very fitting for
the team. He encouraged the players to carry the "mantle" God has
given you in your life.
"We are very thankful for the opportunity to worship at Central
First Baptist this weekend," said head coach Stuart Lake. "The
meal afterwards was awesome, and the team enjoyed fellowship with
the congregation. We would like to thank Pastor Qualkinbush and
the members of the Central First Baptist Church for welcoming us
this weekend."
The Bucs will host Savannah State today at 2 p.m. in CSU
Ballpark.
