Nick Reveiz enters his third season as the defensive coordinator at Charleston Southern after joining during the program at start of 2023.
During his first year with the Buccaneers, he spearheaded one of the most feared defenses in the Big South/Ohio Valley Football Association. At the end of the season, Malik Barnes, a linebacker, was named as a First-Team All-Conference honoree. During the season, the team scored three defensive touchdowns which tied for 12th nationally in the category.
He came to Charleston Southern after a season at VMI. In that season VMI's defense at finished third overall in the Southern Conference in Redzone Defense while also finishing fifth in the Southern Conference in Passing Defense. He also coached Stone Snyder, a 3x All-American and finished 2022 third in the nation in total tackles average per game with 107 tackles through ten games.
Before that, Reveiz came from Albany State in Georgia where he spent the past five seasons. Albany State's defense was ranked #1 in scoring and total defense in 2021 and advanced to the opening round of the Division II playoffs.He coached the conference player of the year in the SIAC at Albany State, Stephan Pierre, who was also selected as the HBCU Gameday National D-II Defensive Player of the Year.
Reveiz also coached at Carson-Newman (2013-2016) where he was the running backs coach before transitioning to linebackers coach.
He played at the University of Tennessee where he was two-time team captain and earned preseason All-SEC honors. Reveiz was one of 10 Vols to start every game in 2010 for UT and posted at least 14 tackles in three different games.
His father, Fuad, was a Vols' placekicker who played in the NFL for 11 years.
Nick is married to the now Brittany Reveiz, and they have four children - Zeb, Zane, Zeal and Zadie. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
