Weekend Preview
Charleston Southern opens its September slate this weekend just down the road as the Buccaneers take on The Citadel, Davidson and host College of Charleston in the 2018 Hampton Inn Charleston/West Ashley CofC Invitational from TD Arena.

Friday will see a single match against The Citadel while Saturday will feature a twinbill against Davidson and College of Charleston. This weekend marks the second time in three seasons the Bucs have played in a tournament hosted by College of Charleston with the previous coming in 2016 when Charleston Southern took on Eastern Michigan, VCU and the host Cougars.

CSU is well-rested from an eight-day break and coming off a perfect 2-0 midweek to end August that saw a 3-0 sweep of Savannah State in the Bucs' home opener as well as a 3-1 road triumph over South Carolina State. The Bucs are 4-1 to start the season thanks to a 2-1 weekend at the Western Carolina Tournament to open the season. The 4-1 start is the best under head coach Christy Mooberry as the Bucs also ride a three-match win streak into the weekend with three of their four wins coming in just three sets.
