Charleston Southern opens Big South Conference play on Tuesday night as the Bucs travel to take on Presbyterian at the Templeton Center.

CSU (5-9) is coming off a successful tournament at the Bulldog Invitational where it won two of three matches. The Bucs defeated Alabama A&M in straight sets on Friday before falling to Jacksonville State in five-sets on Saturday. Charleston Southern then knocked off tournament host The Citadel in a five-set thriller to close out the weekend.

Junior libero Madison Martin continues to lead CSU defensively with 4.71 digs per set, while Hannah Western paces the Bucs with 2.58 kills per set. Rachel Smith is second in the Big South Conference in assists per set (9.27) and Addison Kaderli leads Charleston Southern in service aces per set (0.33).

Presbyterian (3-9) is coming off a tough non-conference slate in which they lost three matches at the Dolphin Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla. The Blue Hose fell to tournament host Jacksonville on Friday 3-1 before falling to Austin Peay (3-0) and USF (3-1) on Saturday.

Daley Gosnell leads Presbyterian defensively with 4.98 digs per set. Erin Eulitz paces the Blue Hose offensively with 2.66 kills per set, while Allie Wright averages 2.64 kills per set and leads the team in attack percentage (.238). Megan Jones leads the way in service aces per set (0.53).

Charleston Southern leads the Big South Conference in digs per set (16.55), while Presbyterian is a close second with 15.89 digs per set. Last season, CSU defeated Presbyterian 3-1 in both meetings.
