Kaderli, Parrott recognized among Big South volleyball annual award winners

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (BigSouthSports.com) - Charleston Southern's Addison Kaderli and Meredith Parrott were recognized among the Big South Volleyball annual award winners as announced on Tuesday afternoon by the conference office.

Kaderli was named to the 2015 Big South All-Freshman team, while Parrott was named to the Big South All-Academic Team for the third time in her collegiate career.

Kaderli, a freshman from Austin, Texas, after a standout campaign in her first season with the Bucs. Kaderli led all Big South freshmen with 2.55 kills per set, sitting 10th overall in the Big South in kills per set. She added four double-doubles in Big South play on the season after the Bucs switched to a 5-1 system midway through the season. Among her season highlights include: 18 kills, 12 digs in CSU's five set win over Radford, 19 kills, 21 digs against UNC Asheville and 13 kills, 25 digs against Winthrop. Kaderli's defensive play against Winthrop gave the outside hitter the November 2 Big South Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Parrott, a senior from Mobile, Alab., was named to the 2015 Big South All-Academic Team for the third consecutive season. She is majoring in Sociology with an emphasis in Human Service. Parrott is among the CSU leaders on the year with a .246 hitting percentage and 2.46 kills per set on the year. She was also named the September 8 CHoice Hotels Big South Player of the Week honors

Coastal Carolina outside hitter Leah Hardeman has been voted the 2015 Big South Conference Volleyball Player of the Year, while Chanticleers head coach Jozsef Forman was selected Coach of the Year by the league's head coaches.  In addition, High Point middle blocker Molly Livingston was voted Freshman of the Year, and teammate Gabi Mirand was selected Scholar-Athlete of the Year by the league's sports information directors.

The conference also announced on Tuesday the complete All-Conference Team, which features a seven-member First- and Second-Team and five-member Honorable Mention squad, as well as the All-Freshman Team and All-Academic Team, all of which are listed below.  The 2015 Big South Volleyball Championship presented by Musco Sports Lighting begins Thursday, Nov. 19 with four quarterfinal matches from the Millis Center on the campus of High Point University.
