2015 Charleston Southern Volleyball Schedule

"We are excited about the different teams we will be playing this fall," commented Mooberry on the schedule. "Our trip out west will give us some different teams we haven't seen before to play against as well as be a great team building experience for this class with a large number of seniors and freshmen. Our preseason tournaments closer to home offer the opportunity to play against ACC and SEC opponents, and the team is excited for the opportunity to challenge ourselves in that way, it will certainly prepare us for conference play."

The Bucs return nine members from last year's squad, including Big South All-Academic selection Meredith Parrott and fellow seniors Cassidy Greer, Siraya Windsor, Katrina Houston and Ashley Higginbothem.

"I'm excited to continue to move forward with this team," said Mooberry. "Our roster is senior and freshmen heavy.  The upperclassmen really want to make a statement this year and the freshmen want to break in and show what they can do."

The Bucs open the season on the road on August 28-29 at the Clemson Tournament where the Bucs will take on Appalachian State, tournament host Clemson and UNC Wilmington over the two day weekend at the Jervey Athletic Center.

CSU's lone home game over the first month of the season comes on September 1 as the Bucs host Savannah State inside the Buc Dome. The Bucs took both matches against the Tigers last season and have won their past five matchups against SSU.

The Bucs return to the road for the remainder of September, traveling to the Elon Tournament on September 4-5 to take on Elon, Wake Forest and North Carolina Central over the two day span.

A return trip to Charleston to take on local rival College of Charleston inside TD Arena on September 8 is followed by the Bucs' longest trip of the season as CSU makes the 2,137 mile trip to Grand Canyon University for the Antelopes' tournament on September 11-12. The Bucs will take on Southern Utah, Niagara and Grand Canyon over the two day span.

A trip to the McAlister Field House and The Citadel on September 15 leads into CSU's final tournament as the Bucs travel to Columbia, S.C. to take on the Gamecocks and the field at the South Carolina Tournament. The two-day tournament on September 18-19 features the Bucs taking on Wofford, South Carolina and East Carolina inside the Carolina Volleyball Center.

The Bucs close out the month on the road making the trip to Savannah State on September 21, before opening Big South Conference play on the road at Presbyterian (Sept. 25) and Winthrop (Sept. 26).

Eight of CSU's 11 matches in the month of October will be played inside the Buc Dome with CSU's opening the month at home against Campbell (Oct. 2) and High Point (Oct. 3).
