CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern returns to the road this weekend as the Bucs travel to UNC Asheville and Gardner-Webb in Big South Conference play.
The Bucs travel to UNC Asheville on Friday night with the match to be streamed live on the Big South Network, with live stats on UNCABulldogs.com. First serve between the Bucs and the Bulldogs inside the Justice Center is set for 7 p.m.
Saturday pits the Bucs against Gardner-Webb on the road at Paul Porter Arena. Live Stats will be provided for the match on GWUsports.com, with first serve set for 2 p.m.

Charleston Southern is 1-4 overall in their last five matches against UNC Asheville. The Bucs last victory over the Bulldogs came in the 2010 season in Rock Hill, S.C. as the Bucs eliminated Asheville from the 2010 Big South Championships, 3-0.

In a match that went back and forth, with both teams seeing both highs and lows on the court, Charleston Southern was outlasted by UNC Asheville on Friday evening inside the Buc Dome as the Buccaneers fell at the hands of the Bulldogs, 25-22, 14-25, 23-25, 25-17, 15-9.
The Buccaneers had four players in double-digits in the kill category against Asheville, led by a 15 kill performance by senior outside hitter Kayla Klinger. Katrina Houston added a double-double with 13 kills and a team-high 21 digs, while Cassidy Greer also recorded a double-double with 45 set assists and 10 digs in the match. Meredith Parrott racked up 11 kills and five blocks in the match, while Siraya Windsor rounded out the group with 10 kills and eight digs on the evening.

Charleston Southern was unable to build off of their momentum after taking the first set on Thursday evening against Gardner-Webb as the Buccaneers fell in Big South Conference play to the Runnin' Bulldogs inside the Buc Dome, 17-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-22.
Erin LaVenice led four CSU players in double-digits in kills, while Siraya Windsor and Katrina Houston both recorded double-doubles for the Buccaneers in the loss. Charleston Southern hit .297 from the floor in the match paced by LaVenice's .464 hitting percentage, but the Buccaneers were unable to overcome a 23-kill performance by Gardner-Webb's Erin Anderson in falling in conference action.
Scouting UNC Asheville...
Shelby Erickson leads Asheville with 2.48 kills per set on the season, while Christine Lakatos is averaging 2.42 kills per set. Katie Davis sets up the Bulldogs offense with 5.74 assists per set, while Lakatos leads Asheville with 0.36 service aces per set.
Defensively, the Bulldogs have been led by Bryn Pfieffer's 2.97 digs per set, while Lakatos is close behind averaging 2.92 digs per set. Madison Vaughn is the team leader with 1.03 blocks per set, while Diana Enriquez is second at 0.70 blocks per set
Tyler Cockrell leads four players averaging multiple kills per set with 2.74 on the season, while Tyra Montour is averaging 2.46. Cockrell is the team leader with a .294 hitting percentage. Heather Feldman sets up with the GWU offense with 9.36 assists per set, while Anna Pashkova leads the team with 0.26 aces per set.
Defensively, Pashkova is the team leader with 4.82 digs per set on the backline, while Brianna Starr is second with 2.59 digs per set. At the net, Cockrell leads the team with 1.13 blocks per set, while Kaelyn Dyson is averaging 0.94 blocks per set.
Meredith Parrott, CSU, Jr., Outside Hitter
Parrrott continues to sit among both the CSU and Big South leaders on the season in multiple categories, as the junior outside hitter sits 3rd overall in kills, 4th overall in points and 6th in hitting percentage on the season in the conference rankings. For the year, Parrott is averaging 3.48 kills per set while hitting .293 from the floor.
Siraya Windsor, CSU, Jr., Outside Hitter
Windsor led the Bucs with 3.73 kills per set and 4.55 digs per set in recording three double-doubles in matches against N.C. Central, Liberty and Radford. Windsor paced the Bucs with 12 kills and a match-high 16 digs on Wednesday aganst N.C. Central, and followed up with 12 kills and 18 digs against Liberty and 17 kills and 16 digs against Radford to pace the Bucs on the week. For the season, Windsor is averaging 3.34 kills and 3.06 digs per set.
1,000 Dig Club...
Ashley Higginbothem became the eighth player in CSU history to join the 1,000 dig club on Wednesday, passing Kathy Dantzler to move into seventh all-time with 1,007 career digs. Higginbothem, who started the season with 850 digs, is averaging 2.75 digs per set on the season.

Charleston Southern fell in four sets to visiting Radford on Saturday evening inside the Buc Dome, dropping the Big South decision 18-25, 25-22, 27-25, 25-15.
Siraya Windsor recorded her 11th double-double of the season and third this week with 17 kills and 16 digs, while Meredith Parrott had 15 kills and five blocks in the loss as CSU hit .225 as a team from the floor. Katrina Houston added nine kills and a team-high six blocks in the loss, while Cassidy Greer had 43 assists and seven digs for the Bucs.
Charleston Southern senior setter Kirsten Struksnes is the lone international player on the CSU roster in the 2014 season, coming to the Bucs from Calgary, Alberta. During her time with the Bucs, Struksnes is sitting seventh all-time among the career leaders with 1,374 career set assists. Highlights from her playing career include four 50-plus set assist matches, including two back-to-back on Oct. 9, 2012 at The Citadel (55 assists) and Oct. 12 vs. Liberty (56 assists).
Record Setting Performance...
Allman broke a CSU record for digs in a single match as the sophomore libero recorded 36 digs over the four sets to break the previous record held by Jennifer Monson set on November 3, 2000 against UNC Asheville with 32 digs. Allman recorded 11 in the first set, six in the second, eight in the third and 11 in the fourth to pace CSU in the game and record the highest dig effort in the Big South in a single match to date in the 2014 season. Allman is currently fourth in the Big South in averaging 4.58 digs and continues to provide steady leadership for the Bucs with 16 matches where she has reached double-digits.
Connor Malone enters the week second in the Big South Conference in hitting percentage in conference matches, connecting at a .342 rate in Big South play on the season. Malone, a redshirt sophomore from Scottsdale, Ariz., had nine kills against both Presbyterian and Campbell, while hitting a team-high .600 on September 27th against Winthrop. She is averaging 1.59 kills per set on the season in Big South play and 0.36 blocks per set.
