Charleston Southern is 21-0 against Savannah State dating back to the 2000 season. The Buccaneers have not dropped a set to the Tigers during the entire span, winning all 21 matches by a 3-0 score.

Scouting the Tigers..
Savannah State comes into the match on Tuesday evening posting a 3-10 record overall on the season. The Tigers have posted wins on the season against Brewton-Parker College, Fort Valley State and Tougaloo College, while falling against 2014 CSU common opponents on the season in The Citadel and Gardner-Webb. The Buccaneers and Tigers will also face off against each other again next Tuesday in Tiger Arena.
Justice Dilworth is among the Savannah State leaders in a majority of the categories on the season, including leading SSU in kills per set at 2.30 and digs per set at 2.17. Gabrielle Nathaniel is the team leader with a .165 hitting percentage, while Lynae Bryant (5.25 assists/set) and Caitlynn Masoe (5.12 assists/set) split the setting duties for the Tigers.
Defensively, Dilworth leads the team in digs, while Alexis Washington (1.77) and Masoe (1.72) are also among the team leaders. At the net, Autumn Sessions is the SSU leader in averaging 0.46 blocks per set.
Last season, Charleston Southern defeated Savannah State 3-0 inside the Buc Dome behind 10 kills from Kayla Klinger and nine blocks by Erin LaVenice. CSU hit a season-high .493 from the floor in the match in completing the victory.
Siraya Windsor, CSU, Jr., Outside Hitter
Windsor continues to impress in the 2014 season as the junior outside hitter sits atop the Big South Conference on the season in averaging 3.96 kills per set and is second with 4.26 points per set. The Lexington, S.C. native has posted seven double-doubles on the season including 18 kills and 14 digs in CSU's loss to Cincinnati. For the season, Windsor is hitting .178 on the season and averaging 2.84 digs per set for the Bucs. Among her season highlights includes a season-high 22 kills on Sept. 6 against The Citadel and 17 digs on Sept. 13 against USC Upstate.
Justice Dilworth, SSU, Jr., Outside Hitter
Dilworth leads Savannah State's efforts on the season as the junior outside hitter is averaging 2.30 kills per set and 2.17 digs per set. The Kingsland, Ga., native has four of the five double-digit kill efforts on the season for the Tigers including a season-high 13 against Brewton-Parker. She has displayed her overall game on the court in also recording three of SSU's five double-digit digs games, including 12 vs. The Citadel. For the season, she has connected on a .075 hitting percentage.
After a one year hiatus, the Buccaneers hosted the 2014 Wingate Invitational at Charleston Southern from September 12-13 inside the Buc Dome. The five-team tournament field included Charleston Southern, Jacksonville, USC Upstate, N.C. Central and S.C. State.

Welcome to the Coaching Staff...
CSU welcomed new assistant coach Lauren Comfort to the CSU staff this past January, coming to the Bucs by way of Trevecca Nazarene in Nashville, Tenn. During her time with the Trojans', she assisted in all areas of the program. Her playing days saw Comfort standout at Olivet Nazarene Unversity where she led the team to a 124-49 overall record and 41-2 in conference play, where she finished with 1,516 career digs and 169 aces.
Recapping UC Invitational…
Charleston Southern went 0-3 this past weekend, falling to Central Michigan, Cincinnati and Tennessee State at the UC Invitational
Siraya Windsor was named to the UC Invitational All-Tournament Team after averaging 4.10 kills per set, hitting .238 on the weekend. Windsor also averaged 3.00 digs per set on the week in being named to her third All-Tournament team this fall (Citadel Invitational, Wingate Invitational at CSU)
Taylor Allman led the Bucs defensive efforts on the week in averaging 3.80 digs per set
CSU opens up Big South Conference play at home this week, hosting Presbyterian on Friday and Winthrop on Saturday inside the Buc Dome
Charleston Southern senior setter Kirsten Struksnes is the lone international player on the CSU roster in the 2014 season, coming to the Bucs from Calgary, Alberta. During her time with the Bucs, Struksnes is sitting seventh all-time among the career leaders with 1,374 career set assists. Highlights from her playing career include four 50-plus set assist matches, including two back-to-back on Oct. 9, 2012 at The Citadel (55 assists) and Oct. 12 vs. Liberty (56 assists).
Tournament Run last season...
Last season the Buccaneers went 4-8 overall over the four tournament weekends they played before getting into conference play. The Bucs went 0-3 in the Davidson Tournament, 1-2 in the Jacksonville Tournament, 2-1 at the Citadel Invitational and 1-2 at the Georgia Southern Tournament. CSU posted wins over Mississippi Valley State, The Citadel, S.C. State and Jackson State.
All Day, Allman...
Taylor Allman has taken over the backrow for the Bucs in the past two seasons and stepped up again this past weekend as the versatile outside hitter/libero led the way for the Bucs in averaging 3.80 digs per set on the weekend. Allman is currently sixth in the Big South in averaging 4.29 digs and continues to provide steady leadership for the Bucs with 12 matches where she has reached double-digits, including a season-high 22 against USC Upstate.
