ROCK HILL, S.C. - Charleston Southern's women took fourth place at the 2019 Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Bucs finished with 95 points behind only Hampton, High Point, Campbell. The final day saw several Bucs take the podium including a second place finish the final event, the 4x400m relay.
Caroline Edmondson was named the Big South Scholar Athlete of the year at the awards ceremony. The junior won three medals over the weekend and posted a 4.0 GPA.

Milan Williams closed out her time at the conference championship with a third place mark of 55.81m in the hammer throw. Williams finished in the top five in the hammer, shot put, and discus. In the triple jump, Victoria Gibson reached a new personal best of 11.87m and moves us to eighth in the school record books.
Each of the Bucs' relay teams made the podium as the 4x100m team finished third at the meet and now holds the sixth fastest time in school history. The Bucs edged out Radford in the 4x400 by 0.5 seconds to take second.
Caroline Edmondson and Eden Senior finished second and third in the 400m hurdles with each collecting a new personal best. Senior moves up to fourth in school history while Edmondson remains in second.
Senior also improved on her personal best time in the 400m and crossed the line of 56.24. The new PR is the eighth fastest time at CSU.
