Robinson wins individual 60-meter hurdles title on final day of Liberty Elite Invitational

LYNCHBURG, Va. - TeJyrica Robinson won the individual 60-meter hurdles title to lead the Buccaneers on the final day of the Liberty Elite Invitational. Robinson recorded the second and fourth-fastest times in the event on her way to standing atop the podium at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex.

Robinson won the individual 60m hurdles title with a time of 8.59 to top the field at the Liberty Elite Invitational. The freshman hurdler's time was the second-fastest in CSU history on her way to standing atop the podium. Robinson breezed through the 60m hurdles preliminaries with a time of 8.65 to sit third among the field in earning her spot in the finals.

Robinson also paced the Bucs in the 60m dash preliminaries with a time of 7.76 to finish 14th overall in the field. Jasmine Pilgrim was 17th finishing three-hundredths of a second behind. Aluntrea Davis was 25th overall in the field with a time of 7.99 seconds.

Kolisha Coleman was CSU's leader in the 200m dash with a time of 25.06 to place 12th in the field. Pilgrim was 23rd among the field with a time of 25.75, while Davis was 25th overall with a time of 25.95.

Coleman was also CSU's leader in the 400m dash with the senior placing sixth in the field with a time of 58.26. Alexis Adams finished 13th overall with a time of 1:00.24, while Danielle Burnett was 17th overall with a time of 1:05.28.

Traci Drayton finished 18th among the field in the 800m run with a time of 2:28.65.

Emma-Lisa Murphy paced the Bucs in the women's 3000m run with a time of 10:43.91 to place 13th in the field.

Areale Frazier placed 18th in the field in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles with a time of 13.45.

The Bucs finished fourth overall in the 4x400 meter relay with Adams, Burnett, Coleman, and Caroline Edmondson recording a time of 4:00.72 in the event.

Edmondson was 10th in the high jump field after finishing with a height of 1.52m.

Victoria Gibson led the Bucs' in the long jump with a distance of 5.31m to place eighth in the field. She added a 10th place result in the triple jump with a distance of 11.32m.

Six Bucs took on the field in the shot put led by Alexus Foreman's 13.16m throw and eighth place result in the event. Milan Williams finished one spot back in ninth with a distance of 12.53m. Briana Sims (12.08m, 13th), Madison McCoy (10.81m, 15th), Areale Frazier (8.55, 18th), and Edmondson (8.35m, 19th) rounded out the CSU group in the field.

Charleston Southern continues the indoor season next weekend at the Tiger Tune-Up hosted by Clemson on February 17.
