DES MOINES, Iowa - The USA Track and Field National Championships got started for a trio of CSU athletes on Thursday as Gabrielle Houston competed in the 100 meter dash.
Houston finished 22nd overall in the event running 11.84 seconds, edging out fellow Big South competitor Ikeiylah Brown of Coastal Carolina, who finished in 12.01 seconds.
LaShaunte'a Moore had the fastest qualifying time, winning Houston's heat in 11.26 seconds, while Alexandria Anderson of Nike ran 11.29 seconds to win heat one. Allyson Felix, also of Nike won the second heat in 11.32 seconds.
Tamisha Foster will continue the meet for CSU, competing in the triple jump part of the Junior National Championships on Friday at 2:10 p.m. (Eastern). Rob Grabill will also be in the junior meet, competing in the hammer throw on Friday at 11:15 a.m.
