CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern will head out for their final road trip of the season this week with midweek matches at Radford and Longwood.
The Bucs (5-7, 3-3 Big South) fell in their lone match last week to Presbyterian. The Blue Hose won both doubles matches 6-3 with court five left unfinished at 5-4 in PC's favor. Presbyterian clinched the match with three singles wins on courts five, six and three. A fourth singles match when the way of Presbyterian due to an injury.
Madalina Man has now won three singles matches in a row and five in a row from the #2 singles position. Four of those five wins have come in three sets. The sophomore has a team-best 5-1 record in Big South play and is tied for second most wins on the team with six.
Radford dropped two of their last three in conference and are coming off a 7-0 loss to Presbyterian after beating Longwood, 4-3. The Highlanders are 3-2 in Big South play and are tied for third in the standings. Top singles player Anastasia Belyaeva has won four of her last five and is 9-5 on the season.
Longwood picked up their first Big South win over the weekend over UNC Asheville, 5-2. They're now 1-3 in the conference and currently rank sixth. Yulia Almiron and Jamie Breunig are each tied for the team lead in singles wins with 14.
First serve for Tuesday's match at Radford is set for 12 p.m. and Wednesday's match will start at 2 p.m.
